I have only found half done hair cuts at elevated prices. I looked online and found concrete-wood studio. The photos were edgy. Showed talent. Booked an appointment with Daniel. He managed to take a hack job of a hair cut and turned it into art! I looked like the Dutch boy when I entered and left with a head of amazing hair! Thank you Daniel.

Great salon! I did an all over color that was done by Siobhan who was kind and attentive. And Junji gave me the best haircut I've ever had. I've received many compliments on my hairstyle & am considering planning my second visit. They are a little on the pricier side but worth it if you have an event coming up or just want a awesome haircut/simple coloring.

JunJie, has put his heart and soul into this salon. He has created a very personal and calm experience for each client. Jun Jie has been cutting my family’s hair for many years, beginning with my son Kendall’s hair that is naturally spiky and stands straight up (very much like June Jie’s). I saw Jun Je for a hair cut and style and Siobhan gave me color and highlights. I loved my color and highlights. Ive been a client for awhile and never been disappointed. Siobhan is quick and the color with highlights is always excellent. I have been Jun Joe’s client for quite a while. What I like most is that Jun Je listens to my desires and also suggests what looks good on me. He is an excellent stylist and I am always very happy when I leave. I am never disappointed. I had an amazing experience at this salon and couldn’t be happier with the result! Junjie was incredibly kind and helpful from the beginning. He carefully listened to what I wanted and helped me book the right colorist for my hair. Since I have very thick and naturally dark hair, the bleaching and coloring process took a long time, but Hannah and Siobhan were extremely patient and professional throughout. They worked layer by layer with great attention to detail, making sure everything was done perfectly. I’ve done both a K-pop pink and a violet color here, and both turned out absolutely beautiful — even better than I imagined! Siobhan also styled my hair with gorgeous curls at the end and kindly recommended hair care products to help maintain the color. She took her time and made sure everything looked perfect. Everyone here is talented, patient, and truly cares about their clients. I highly recommend this salon if you’re looking for high-quality coloring and great service. I will definitely come back!

Not to be dramatic, but I got my hair cut here back in August and I STILL think about it. Jun Jie Du, the salon owner, cut my hair, and I honestly booked on a complete whim after stumbling upon a tiktok of his work. I was immediately mesmerized by his technique (see for yourself on his IG @jun_jie_d). When I say he is precise, he is PRECISE. He took his time, masterfully cutting each strand with intention and care, paying attention to how my hair naturally falls. For context, my hair is fine, somewhat color damaged, and loosely wavy. My waves have been brought back to life, and I’ve never felt more confident in my hair or more understood by a stylist. My hair still looks healthier and fuller nearly four months later. And beyond the cut itself, the overall vibe of the salon is lovely—modern, clean, very zen. Not the usual loud salon with 50 people rushing around. It felt calm, intentional, and honestly like a treat. Haven't tried color services here yet but definitely booking in the near future! 10/10 experience. Do yourself a favor and book the appointment. You will not be disappointed!!

Having been in the DMV area for a decade and not being able to find a stylist has had me traveling to NYC and London to get my hair done. I’m beyond thrilled to say that I finally FINALLY found a stylist - Jun Jie, who not only is an incredible human but the most fantastic professional. My hair has never looked better. He’s knowledge and output is basically art. I’m so happy with my haircut and I cannot wait for my next appt. Also the space is insane, I can see this place becoming a staple in the DMV beauty scene.

It took me awhile to leave this review, but hopefully that tells others about the staying power of the color and cut I got at this place. It is, hands down, the best haircut and color job I've ever gotten done. Andrea Prudencio did my color- I've followed her to multiple places now and she's some sort of wizard with a color palette- and she and another stylist collaborated on my haircut. It's been months since they've done my hair and people still ask me where I got it cut and how I got my color done. I have to hold myself back from scheduling an appointment sooner than necessary because while the result was fantastic, the location itself and the service I received were also more than anyone could ever ask for. This place and the art they create there are truly a dream come true.

Andrea just completed an amazing balayage for me at Concrete + Wood. I met her when I was initially getting a hair cut with Jun Jie. She really took the time to listen to me and understand my vision for how I wanted my hair to be for my wedding. I have had a blonde balayage for so long and I wanted something more classic and elegant for my wedding. The brunette balayage turned out gorgeous and exactly what I was looking for. Andrea is very talented and I will definitely be coming back to her in the future.
